 We have been practicing criminal law as a specialist firm of criminal defence solicitors in York for
over a decade. Initially, the practice was run by Sally Howard, assisted by her husband, John Howard.
Soon joined by Colin Byrne from Leeds, there are now 4 partners with Kevin Blount being the most
recent addition.

recalls or similar problems. Jackie East, head of our prison law department, is now an established
lecturer in the field.

Our Courts Martial Department provides expert advice and representation to serving solidiers and
other forces who are facing internal prosecutions. Our specialist team can also draw on military
backgrounds as they advise soldiers facing Courts Martial or Police Interviews with military police.

justice and we have experience in high profile and serious fraud allegations. We have expertise in
